Before Bumgarner’s triumphant finishing number in the World Series, there was Jeremy Affeldt’s effective warm-up performance that put the San Francisco Giants in a position to win another championship.

Jeremy Affeldt delivered 21/3 scoreless innings at a pivotal juncture in Game 7, Giants winning the 2014 World Series. He was awarded as the winning pitcher and what means a lot is that he now has three rings to give his three sons. The other two were from 2010 and 2012.

Affeldt has made key contributions to all three title teams and has 22 consecutive scoreless outings in the postseason.

“I don’t remember the last time I warmed up in the second inning let alone pitched in it,” Affeldt said.
